This weekend the Obamas celebrated their first Independence Day in the White House. The First Family hosted a barbecue on Saturday for an estimated 1200 military families on the south lawn of the White House. This weekend also marked another first for the family. Malia Obama, who turned 11 years old on the 4th, celebrated her first birthday in the White House. “I should say that there’s also one girl in particular who’s just thrilled that all of you are here and that is Malia Obama, because this happens to be her birthday, as well. When she was younger, I used to say that all these fireworks were for her. I’m not sure she still buys that,” said the President according to the Huffington Post.
This one is going on my list of Obama favorites…
And now it’s off to Moscow as MOW goes international…
