Photos:First Lady Spends “Date Night” With August Wilson-RNC Calls “Date Night” Inappropriate

Obama departs White House for New York City.
I don’t care, but y’all do, if the comments on some of the other threads are any indication. The News media continues to be obsessed with chronicling First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Date Nights” with the President. Last night they were in New York City for dinner and a Broadway show. But not everyone was feeling the love.

That’s one of my favorite trips, New York for Dinner and Broadway. The First Lady went to see “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone” by August Wilson after dinner at Blue Hill.

Not everyone was happy, according to the NY Times, “Date Night” was inappropriate.

“As President Obama prepares to wing into Manhattan’s theater district on Air Force One to take in a Broadway show, GM is preparing to file bankruptcy and families across America continue to struggle to pay their bills,” RNC spokeswoman Gail Gitcho said in an email this afternoon.

That’s not all from Gitcho. She then added a snitty, “Have a great Saturday evening — even if you’re not jetting off somewhere at taxpayer expense.” CSMonitor

This was the President’s response:

“I am taking my wife to New York City,” the president said in the statement, “because I promised her during the campaign that I would take her to a Broadway show after it was all finished.”

When has a President ever issued a statement about dating his wife?
