School May Be Named After First Lady & Her Husband :>)
Webster Magnet Elementary School is located in St. Paul Minnesota and focuses on service learning. Seeking to change the name of the school to be more fitting with its overall mission, Principal Lori Simon presented the local board of education two choices on which to vote.
If 85% of the Webster parents surveyed are an indication, the new name of the school will become the Barack and Michelle Service Learning Elementary School. The other choice on the ballot is Webster Service Learning Elementary. Although, Principal Simon isn’t making a prediction, but she says that people thought the Obama’s commitment to community service made his name worth considering.
What an honor! Here’s to keeping those fingers and toes crossed for the Barack and Michelle Service Learning Elementary School formerly known as Webster.
